Covid-19 Policy

Covid - 19 Policy

  • COVID 19 Contingency Plan.

In the event of a further lockdown, or ‘rule of 6’ restrictions, there are three options for you to choose from:

    1. The class will move online for the same dates and times.

You will also receive the option to join the online course’s mid-week seminar on Wednesdays 7pm – 8pm for further support to help you complete tasks from the safety of your own home. This seminar is usually exclusive for any students completing the online course, but in the event of switching to online, this will become accessible to all students.

You will also be invited to submit work for written feedback from our teacher.

    2. You can choose to roll over payment of any classes cancelled or moved online to a future in-person course of your choice.

A full list of all future courses can be found HERE

    3. You may request a refund for the Tuition Fee of any classes cancelled or moved online because of the declaration of a lockdown.

If you have purchased an Artist Kit which remains unused, you may return the materials for a full refund. If the Artist Kit has been opened then you will be unable to request a refund for the materials, but you may keep all Step-By-Step Guides to complete tasks with the materials in your own time.

In the event of switching to online teaching, you will be emailed with further information on these changes.

  • This will be adapted as per current Government Guidelines (last updated 27/01/22).

Until safe to do so, Brushstrokes Courses only admits 8 students per class. This is to ensure adequate 2 metre social distancing between students. All materials and easels are sanitised before and after each class.

Before attending an in-person class, students are asked to take the following into consideration:

    1) Whilst there is no longer a legal requirement to wear a face covering, the Government suggests that you continue to wear one in enclosed spaces. So although not a legal requirement, please use a mask if you feel safer to do so.

    2) If any student has any Covid-19 symptoms, tested positive on a lateral flow, a PCR test, or has been in contact with someone positive, to remain at home.

    3) If a student has to unfortunately miss a class due to Covid 19 concerns, they will be provided intricate step-by-step guides, as well as videos for students to complete tasks in their own time at home. Students may also request a free Zoom consultation, phone call or WhatsApp call to help complete tasks.

    4) If a lockdown has not been put in place, a refund may not be possible.
    This is due to:

    - Venue hire costs.

    - We have kept numbers minimal for safety, which keeps us running but not for profit. If someone on a Waiting List cannot take a students place, we cannot run the course.

Any refund request will be taken into consideration, but a full refund may not be possible. Instead, students will be offered free extra online tuition for any classes missed.
