WEEK ONE & TWO

Week ONE: We begin the course by using either The Grid Method, or Free-Hand drawing to sketch your woodland scene and begin to establish different areas of tonal value.

Week TWO: This week, we will use mark making to build finer detail in your drawings.

WEEK THREE & FOUR

Week ONE: We start our country village scene by sketching your outline. We will then use different permanent pens add texture with mark-making.

Week TWO: We will finish our country landscape by applying watercolour wash for a loose illustrative finish.

WEEK FIVE & SIX

Week ONE: This week, we are taking inspiration from sketches or photographs from holiday adventures. You will use pencil to sketch your design and acrylic paint to establish the background.

Week TWO: We complete your final landscape by using a palette knife to thickly apply the paint for a contemporary impressionist finish.
