WEEK ONE

We begin the course by using the ‘alla prima’ (at first attempt’ method to blend & layer oil paint in one sitting.

WEEK TWO

This week, you will create a warm under painting with acrylic paint. We will then use thin layers of oil paint to create our underlayer.

WEEK THREE

For your middle layer, we will use thicker layers of paint to build your top layer with bright colours and loose brushstrokes.

WEEK FOUR

To finish the course, you will add those all-important final details with the lightest of light and darkest of darks. You can choose to create fine details or continue with looser brushstrokes.
