WEEK ONE

We begin the course by completing a charcoal sketch of your animal portrait to establish the tonal values.

WEEK TWO

We start your oil painting by using either The Grid Method, or Free-Hand drawing to sketch your orangutan or pet portrait on the canvas. We will then apply a muted acrylic wash ready for the Underpainting.

WEEK THREE

This week, we will use very thinned out Burnt Umber to establish tonal value for our underpainting.

WEEK FOUR

This week, we will block in colour values using semi-thinned oil paint.

WEEK FIVE

We will finish our oil paintings this week by applying final fine detail with Rigger Brushes.
